Through these workshops, your child can build up their Case Study Skills & Essay Writing answering techniques, and develop strong critical thinking skills that can guide them through their A-level Economics papers.
How Does an Econs Case Study Workshop Help?
The focus of this workshop is on exam preparation. We provide concentrated sessions that focus fully on answering techniques and case study analysis. Our experienced economics tutor helps guide students through data interpretation questions, teaching them how to give short answers and avoid pitfalls. By learning strategies for high-scoring answers, students can effectively solve these case study questions in exams.

This workshop has a focus on long-form essay writing and structuring. Through our concentrated workshop sessions, we teach students the right way to frame their essays, and create an effective answering structure that helps them score well in examinations.

Our Economics essay writing workshop aims to prepare students for exams by teaching them the right answering methods. By the end of our course, students should be able to:
- Master answering techniques and understanding the key essay structures behind R1 (Requirement 1) and R2 (Requirement 2) adopted by the new syllabus answer keys.
- Break down and identify question requirements, so key points and concepts of frequently asked questions can be addressed
- Uncover key evaluation skills to unlock higher order thinking marks and secure an ‘A’.
Content and Teaching Methods
Throughout our workshops, students develop the skills and knowledge needed to analyse question requirements for both case studies and essays. We provide worked solutions to give them hands-on exposure on the ideal answering techniques and structure. By preparing them for these possibilities, we help students identify the right way to answer their exam questions and achieve a firm understanding of A Level Econs.
Key features of our workshops:
- In-depth answering techniques: Students are taught about common errors and standard answering methods to utilise. They’re taught how to examine questions and recognise the requirements needed, as well as write evaluation points.
- How to apply strategies: Students can make use of strategically chosen techniques and answering methods to address key points in their Economics essays.
- Time management: Many students often could not finish their case studies and essays, leaving at least 10 marks blank. In these two workshop, you will be equipped with a proper set of time management skills to mitigate your risk of not finishing.

Our 2-days Econs Workshop takes place during the 2nd and 3rd of September holidays, from 9am to 1pm.
- Day 1: Case Study Workshop (2nd September)
- Day 2: Essay Writing Workshop (3rd September)
Workshops can be either taken together or separately (Day 1: Case Study & Day 2: Essay). Avail physically.
